A surefire passion killer is confessing your love for a new beau only to have him go cold or simply pretend he didn't hear you. How do you handle it when you say 'I love you' first and he doesn't respond in kind? It's a nightmare, basically. A good guy will try to make you feel okay about this situation even if he's not ready to speak the words you were hoping for. He'll tell you how happy that makes him and how much you mean to him. If he freezes or looks terrified, you're with a man with little grace. A man with little grace who doesn't love you. Get out.
